I am going to make a batch of home made Q-Sauce tonight and wanted to show everyone my special sauce making invention. I put the spicket on the botton for ease of filling canning jars. Pretty sweet huh...

Does it double as a Beer Bong?
I made some today and destroyed the kitchen. Then my better half cleaned it for me. It must be good!

That looked like a valve with a plastic bushing in it. Be careful it might not take the heat and make a nasty puddle on the floor!

Hi Crawdad!...

The plastic seats for the ball could be a problem, as pointed out...but I'm
MORE concerned with the brass body of that ball valve!!!...

Brass is an alloy and contains zinc...and zinc is a no-no as far as foods
etc. are concerned!...

Zinc is what the surface coating is on galvanized steel etc. ...

Ball valves are available with stainless steel bodies, and can be had with
the ball seats made of teflon also!...(it'll take the heat)...

That would be a much better choice for handling your sauce, since the
brass could also taint the taste of the sauce slightly due to any vinegar
in it!...

I don't mean in any manner at all to poo-poo the new Saucepot/Bottler...
it's just that I want the BEST for you!...

...and wanted you to be
aware of the zinc!...

I think this is a WONDERFUL idea!...Makes me wish I had one too!...
and it sure will make getting the sauce in the bottles LOTS easier!...

Great Idea, and Great Job!....Kudo's to you my friend!...

Until later...
