Haven't been around for a while, but had to jump on to post this for anyone who has forgotten how we used to do things, or is too young to recall what it was like before the Internet:
I was looking through one of my old barbecue books, published in 1982, and found in the back a list of sources for spices, sauces, etc.
And instructions for obtaining them: "Write for a price list and then send a check to cover the cost of the product plus postage and handling."
The good old days weren't all that good in some ways. I can't even remember the last time I actually wrote a check.
