First time spares w/ q-view

Discussion in 'Pork' started by sl2w0, Aug 31, 2008.

  1. My first spare ribs went on the Masterbuilt 7-in-1 today at 12. I rubbbed them with Texas Rib Rangers rub last night. I'm using hickory and I'll be spraying them with apple juice.

    I'll have more pics later.

  2. What time should I be there?

I grew up in Frederick MD....I really miss the coast....How has the Blue Crab been this year?

  3. I heard the crabs were pretty slow earlier this summer, I haven't been yet, but now is the best time of the year to go. Hopefully i'll get to go soon.

  6. They turned out pretty good for my first time, the ribs I bought were previously frozen, I will stick to fresh from now on. I had some temperature issues because of the wind which may have affected them also. Flavor was good and they were moist, I would just like them a little more tender. I didn't do a good job trimming them so i didn't really get the pull back on the ends.

Fine looking job there. Enjoy those blue crabs when you get some. I am originally from southern Maryland and boy do I miss the seafood out there.
