Austin, Tx signing in.
Just a hobby.
I designed a custom pit using the Lang hybrid as my model, but with a few modifications.
This is my first serious pit. All previous models since 1995 have been on the cheap and probably cost just as much as a heavy-duty pit if all costs were combined. I'm done with the COS.
Found someone west of San Antonio that agreed to build it: http://www.rivercottagetables.com/matts_bbq_pits
Picked it up 11/21/15 and burned it in the next day.
Preparing to smoke a couple of yard-birds Thanksgiving morning.
So, my wife said I can have the left side to smoke meat, and
she reserves the right side to grill. Fair 'nuff, right? -B
