I noticed there are quite a few smokers from Michigan. My wife and I will be staying near there on Vacation in a couple weeks. We have never been there. Could anyone tell me of any must see's good eats, things to do etc. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Joe.

It is part of the chain-o-lakes in antrim county in the northern lower peninsula. I think near grand traverse bay off lake Michigan.

I will be up in Petosky 1st of July. You will have an array of casinos in the area if you like gambling. Which is pretty much all i will be doing. Loads of excellent golf courses if your into golfing. As for BBQ joints think they would be far and few between. I am sure you can find a charter boat for some fishing as well. Google chamber of commerce's in the area because they may festivals going that may interest you.

Bellaire has Shanty Creek which is a golf/ski resort. They serve good stuff. Also a good pizza place downtown there, forget the name of it, but you'll find out Bellaire is small and can't miss it right there on the corner. Petersons 31 over in Torch Lake is a favorite resturant of mine. Also down by Traverse City is the best steak place in the world: Boone's Long Lake Inn Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes is a must see for that part of the state. Hope this helps!!

I'm not familiar with the immediate area but Traverse City has some great places to eat. The aforementioned Boone's is great but my favorite steak house the is called Mode's Bum Steer. It's downtown just off Union Street.
