That might be good. We used to tell the old story about making a Shad on an oak board, and then throw the Shad away & eat the board. They are like the boniest fish in the world ! Some say they make them in a way that you can eat the bones, like canned salmon.
If smoked right, the bones are ver easily removed with some tweezers--just fold back the 'bone' line and make a fat grab--then stuff your face--while chewing fold over next bone line and repeat till ya puke or run outta fish..LMOAO
