Gas upright box smoker handed down from my dad.

Charcoal grill that is 23 years old is due to be replaced. I'll be looking on here for recommendations.

Welcome from SC. This is a great site with lots of folks who are always eager to share their ideas and tips. All you have to do is ask and keep reading. As far as a charcoal grill is concerned, look at a Weber. I like the one with the ash collector built in at the bottom.
