New guy here. Been smoking for over 30 yrs, but recently purchased my first pellet smoker (Traeger Ironwood 650). I'm done burning sticks and charcoal.

I'm retired and play poker daily here in "Sin City". Found this site when searching for what function that grid at the top of my hopper bin performs. Got my answer, and it's coming out today.

I also shoot guns at the range. The ability to control/monitor my cook via a cell phone gives the freedom to cook without sticking (no pun) around the house all day is really nice.

I hope to be of some value to the forum looking down the road.

Howdy and welcome to the group from New Mexico.
Poker player here. Home games 5 and 7 card, as well as Heads-Up Holdem at casino.
What kind do you play?

Nice to meet a fellow poker player.

My dad taught me to play 7 card before I was ten. Unfortunately, there are very few 7-card games in the casinos here... NLH & PLO reign supreme. Typical NLH games are 3/6 and 5/10... there's always a game open.

There are always tournaments available at 9am/1pm/5pm in most casinos. Buy-ins are $40/100/$200 respectively.

Here in Nevada, on-line poker is legal. The WSOP is the only sponsor allowed. I usually will slip in 4-5 SNG's at a time about three days a week. Buy-ins that I play are $10 & $25 mostly. To play the WSOP, you have to send a copy of your driver's license to prove you are a Nevada resident.

When the WSOP comes to town (May 28-July 17 this year), there literally hundreds of games/tourneys to play every day. I try to get down and play a few $100 SNGs. That event needs to be seen to be believed. The pros arrive with backpacks full of cash, and it's much fun to watch them play cash games were a $100K+ pot is not uncommon.

Its function is to keep them from getting sued by people who are too dang stupid to keep their fingers away from the auger while the grill is running.

Used to be that if you did stupid things, you won stupid prizes, but in this day and age, you get a payday from the manufacturer for your own stupidity.
