Central Texas
Howdy all, New member here from central Texas. I've been in the Army for 19 years, plan on retiring next year.
I've been grilling for 20 years, and do a lot of indirect heat cooking. Even cook our thanksgiving turkey on my trusty weber. So I've decided to jump into smoking feet first.

A family friend of mine is a master welder and is helping me, more like I'm gonna help him, build my first smoker. We're planning on an upright made out of 24" 1/4 inch steel with a square offset firebox. Not sure on the exact dimensions yet. Wish me luck, and I'll see you in the forums.
