Hi all, I joined back in November (sorry, missed the Roll Call forum) when I was researching which smoker I wanted. Santa got me the 30" dual door Masterbuilt propane smoker. So far I've done the Christmas dinner ham and 3 racks of habs and red chilies which I did last night during a mini snowstorm we had.
I've already done a couple of mods to the smoker by sealing the doors with some Big Green Egg felt gasket, cut in half lengthwise and filling the wood tray holes with foil.
I've been a Big Green Egg cooker for about 2 years now and before that I was a Weber kettle user and before that I just had regular old gas grills. I've been hooked on charcoal for awhile now and this is my first propane cooker in a long time.
I also have the A-MAZE-N pellet smoker (thanks Todd!) that I look forward to using.
I've cooked just about everything on my BBQs, including cakes, but my favs have to be paella, pulled pork, Texas Rockets, and of course steak. I also enjoy smoking hot peppers and grinding them up for powder.
