Hey,

I just wondered what side dishes you cook on your smoker, looking for a couple of hot sides to do. I like the idea of doing the whole meal outdoors, not just the meat. The only two I have come up with are jacket potatoes cooked in tin foil and corn on the cob thrown on while the meat rests.

Mac n cheese and beans are a good call.

Anyone tried cooking potatoes in any way?

I cook my BBQ sauce on my firebox. I haven't tried in the smoker to add smokiness but I may try next time.

I put mine in the smoker Aaron, it does give it a smokey flavor.
But for my mopping sauce I put that on the firebox, and it stays nice & hot!
But getting back to the original poster, beans under ribs or a butt are fantastic.
And Mac-n-cheese is another good one. We like fattie sliders to for an appetizer.
