Those look great Ron. I noticed that you took them to only 170*. I would think a point would need a higher temperature to break down the collagen. Did you steam them before eating?

Just wondering if you soaked it at all b4 smoking
 
I did the fry pan test and it was a bit salty, but figured that the smoke time would leech some brine and it did, no soak was neccesary.

I have yet to soak a corned beef. I think it depends on the brand and how much they pump them. But I always do the fry pan test first.
