Greetings! I've been lurking here since I bought my Char Griller Smoking Pro about a month ago. I live in Eastern NC and pulled pork with a vinegar sauce is a thing here. Trying my hand at a Boston butt as I type this. It's been on for a little over 6 hours and sitting at 181 IT. Looks like it will be done right on time for a foil wrap, a towel and sleep time in a cooler while I smoke some chicken breasts.

This site is awesome! I've learned so much by reading here. I appreciate all the info y'all post up, it makes that first burn real easy. Pics later!

eta: Auto correct on my phone changed the title of this thread, it should read "Newb from NC" :grilling_smilie:

Welcome from SC. It's really good to have you here on this great site. Eastern NC is some really good BBQ. Went to school in Chapel Hill and had some really good eating.

Thank you for the welcome. I really love the que in this area, but I love que from all over. A buddy of mine from SC introduced me to their mustard based sauce, wow! I look forward to learning more, pretty sure I'm hooked on smoking now.

Good morning and welcome to the forum from a partly cloudy day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web.

Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.
