Hello all. I'm new to the forum. I'm a general contractor but getting into smoking hams and bacon for a local butcher. I've done a lot of smoking, anywhere from jerky on a Masterbuilt electric smoker to 100 plus lbs of pork butt on tow behind stick burner.

I'm in the process of building cooker for hams and bacon. I have an insulated stainless steel cabinet with double doors measuring 26 deep 46 wide 59 tall ID.
Looking for recommendations for electric heating element to run something that size. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Hi Moot welcome, I'm a retired heavy equipment operator, who has been smoking and BBQin for 21yrs.
Your build sound interesting to say the least, and I wish I had some real good input, but I've always been an offset Lang cooker guy and never electric.
I know electric makes matters easy, if your doing this in large quantities for someone.
To help you out, I have some time and I will check things out for you and get back to you on.
Right now I'm thinking elements from an old stove oven with "Inkbird" as your thermometer.
PM me if you want, I'll help where I can.

Good morning and welcome to the forum from a chilly, damp and dreary day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.
