  1. Hi All -

I'm new to smoking having been given an early Christmas gift - I spent a lot of time researching which way I wanted to go, learning some of the science between methods (and seeing the factions each method has following it!), and taking into account my day-to-day life.

Ultimately I narrowed it down to a Masterbuilt 30" Electric and the Weber Smoky Mountain. Taking into account that this is my first go, and my day-to-day life can be busy (especially the weekends when my wife works), I decided to pickup the MES 30 inch (Analog) after taking everything into account with it in mind that I would bump up to the WSM after some time, if this takes off.

I look forward to interacting a learning a lot from each of you on the forum - I tend to be the lurking type when I first start on a forum, unless I have a question or some experience that can help out - so I'll be here, you may just not know it!

  2. Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
    Happy smoken.
