Hello, I am new to the forum. I have been smoking for about a year and have been learning a lot through the website and I am looking forward to meeting new people on the site. I have been smoking with a masterbuilt electric smoker, was the easiest type of smoker for me to obtain and the one I felt most comfortable with for begining my smoking hobby; now a passion. I am looking to upgrade my smoker soon so I can become more of a "puriest". Although different tyoes of woods are hard to come by where I live. I love to smoke ribs, family favorite, and I have also done a few butts. I am looking forward to expanding my horizon on other types of meat!

Good to have you here. I have a MES along with a Gasser and a charcoal burner. I love the simplicity of the MES its a great smoker to start off with. Don't hesitate to ask questions we all love to jump in with our answers. If you get stuck during a smoke there is always someone here to help you thru it. And always remember that we love Qview especially of your very first smokes and builds, mods etc.

Hags you have hit the jackpot here. Many experienced smokers and tons just starting to learn. Its an obsession or it will be soon. Good luck.

Could do, plenty of birds in the freezer. I haven't attempted any type of fowl yet in the smoker, to affraid of the outcome, yikes!! Will have to post how to question when ready to try smoked phesant!!

Great to have you hags. Had my MES for a year now never missed a beat yet. Done alot of smokes with the help of the forum. You have found an addiction.

The information that you can get on this site is beyond compare. It is the old "ask and you will receive". So to help you with your acquisition of different types of woods. go to: doitbest.com. They have all different kinds of wood. You can have it delivered to Knect in Rapid City. No tax and no shipping. I just picked up 10# of apple chunks for $8.28. Good luck and never be afraid to jump in. Your experience can help all of us.
