Portland, Or
Happy Thanksgiving,

After a few months of reading your posts, I felt it was time to join and say Hi. I'd consider myself a newbie to smoking. Grew up in the South and have grilled for years but now live in Portland and it was so hard to find good Que here that the wife and I decided I should start to make my own. After a lot of research, bought a Traeger recently and I've been happy with the results. I've made beer can chicken, brisket and baby back ribs. Tomorrow will be the real test... my first turkey, ever!

Have a great holiday.

Welcome to the best site around. Many many great people here willing to lend a hand and offer sound advice. Good luck on your Turkey tomorrow. As you know, we like pics, so if you get a chance, take some of the bird and the smoking process and post them for us to see. By the way, is your screen name any indication of beer
