First Whole Turkey Smoke Question

    Hey Guys!!!

    I have decided to smoke a whole bird this year and I have some questions! 

    1 - my bird is 13#s. Is that to big?

    2 - I would like to brine this guy. When do I need to start before smoking?

    3 - do you guys add anything in the cavity or leave it open?

    4 - who loves this holiday?

    1. Nope perfect size
    2. I brine for two days. Air dry for one day in fridge, smoke the next day
    3. I leave mine open or I put in fresh parsley thyme sage onion and garlic
    4. Love it so much we smoked a turkey last night!

    Turkey came out great. Used Slaughterhouse Recipes for the bird and it was soo good. the meat fell off the bones!
