    Hi,

I've been searching for a wood smoker for a couple years now and still have no real feel on what I should be getting for the money.  I'm looking for something that can cook a 150 lb hog (dressed) and ribs, chicken, etc.  I'm thinking of spending about $1,000-1,500.  Is that a reasonable amount to spend on something with a fire box, warmer box, and charcoal grill?  Also, if you have any links to dealers, makers, custom builders, etc...it would be greatly appreciated.  And I live in Northeast OH, by Cleveland.

    Thanks!

Sounds like you want a reverse flow rig. There are quite a few for sale in your area. I found this craigslist ad on google in less than 5 minutes.

You might want to contact Craig Bell at Bell fab. He makes a quality product and will build you any configuration you want. His prices are very good and the material is tops. You can contact him at: [email protected]. Good luck, Joe

Thanks for the research.  I guess I don't know enough to say x dimensions will be able to smoke a hog up to x lbs.  So this the CL ad in Canfield would be a good price for that smoker?

    Thanks!

Yes I think so. That baby is super nice. Looks to be built very well too. I think it said a pretty large hog would go in there. The rotisserie is awesome. I could see something like that custom ordered costing twice as much plus you would have shipping.
