AMNPS versus Tube Smoker

Ok fellow smokers, I need a little help here. I was lucky enough to win the contest that Mr. Todd is putting on. I have a choice between a AMNPS 5x8 or a tube smoker. I'm sure they are both awesome but I don't really understand the difference between the two. Can y'all explain some advantages of the two. Here is the Smokehouse I will be using it in.

From what I understand, the tube smoker has a quite large diameter, burns more pellets per hour than the 5 x 8, generating more smoke.... that design also allows for maintaining smoke in gas fired smokers and at higher altitudes where oxygen can be lower..

I'm thinking the tube would be best for your smokehouse....

BTW, how does heat and smoke get from the burner area, to the meat hanging area, in your smokehouse....

Dave hit the nail on the head....!

If you get the AMNPS 5x8, you will need to light both ends

The Tube Smoker would produce enough smoke for your smoker

So, I would get the Tube Smoker

Congrats Mason!!

Both the AMNPS & The Tube Smoker are totally Awesome!!!

I tried the Tube in my MES, but I couldn't get it to smoke light enough in the confined space of the MES 40 for my tastes.

The AMNPS (5" X 8") is perfect for my MES, but it would not put out enough smoke for your smoker, like was already mentioned above by a couple of learned gentlemen.

So I will just confirm from a Bears-eye View that you should get the Amazing Tube Smoker!!!

Also the tube smoker works better than the AMNPS in propane smokers.

This is why I love this site. Have a question get an answer. Tube it is. Thanks to all of you. When I get it I will do my first smoke and post pics.
