12 hour bacon smoke !!! did I mention PORN ...PORN ...PORN

    Hello all ....I decided to do only my bacon today instead of trying a dual smoke as I earlier questioned,for fear of moisture,....
    I used Morton's smoke flavored dry sugar cure ,followed instructions on the package,dried in front of a fan approx 1 1/2 hrs.....placed in cold smoker box at 10am today ...smoked with hickory 12 hours ,pulled at 10 pm .....avg smoke temp was approx 85 degrees ....
    beautiful day started about 45 deg.....up to 75....back down to 40 ....lots of cold wobly pops while I tended the ol trusty Masterbuilt ( centro ) electric ....what a day ..as always here is some PORN.!!!!
    Ohhhhhhhhhhhh ,did I mention the smell is wonnnnnnnnnddddeerrrrffffuuuullll.....tastes even better !!!!anyone for breakfast ????????????

    I have never made bacon, but I have always wanted to. That sure looks good.

    Did you get all that smoke set at 85* or did you route the smoke from a different smoker. I don't know that my electric would get the chips smoking holding at 85*

    Looks like some tasty fare you have there,very good color.You can take your temps up some and it wont hurt anything.I have five pounds left out of mine.maybe you could spot a brother a pound or two?Very nice,David

    Shellbellc....I used an addition on top of my electric for the smoke box....this allowed me to run smoker at 200 thus having lots of smoke...check out a previous post of mine in the electric smokers forum titled a cold addition to my masterbuilt (centro ) electric...
