just the ring welded to the base ring. it keeps it in center and from sliding. Thats it. It feels stable. I made it snug too. This one weighs 55lbs.That looks great
Can you give a bit of detail on how it attaches? Do it just set on the kettle? Any attachment to prevent tipping?

Thank you! I like that idea!Find yourself an old 1/2" or 3/4" ratchet. Make a wheel spokes made out of old wrenches. Auctions or yard sales good for that sort of stuff.
