As always look stellar Robert. Cant say I have ever heard of Italian Gravy but I would think it would be exactly how you made it.

Thank you John. The gravy was really tasty but not huge in flavor like some other's I've done. The perfect accompaniment with the pork.

Looks delicious Robert. Gravy for the win...AGAIN! Bet that marinated pork smelled amazing on the Blackstone. Nice work bud

Very much appreciate it Jake...AGAIN :emoji_wink: Yes, the aroma was enticing. Tracy was on the pool while it was cooking going MMMM, that smells good.

And Italian Gravy sounds like it's pretty amazing! That cooktop of yours is getting some serious miles on it and some seriously good eats! Impressed as usual

Thanks so much Zach. I'm having a blast with all these gravy creations, and yes sir, that griddle has become a work horse. So easy to use, so versatile, and a breeze to clean up. What's not to love?

DID SOMEONE SAY GRAVY? :emoji_laughing: . Truly amazing Robert! I'd eat that all day long. It's a beautiful plate, pork with the gravy had to smell wonderful and on top of egg noodles...nummy. Those buns look fabulous also. Is there just garlic butter on those? In the pic almost looks like melted cheese on them. Definitely going on the to do list!

You know Ryan, I believe somebody may have mentioned gravy. I'll have to go back and look :emoji_laughing: The ciabatta buns had garlic butter only, no cheese. Thelighting on the patio can be tough for pics when the sun starts setting and creates a lot of glare on the camera and food.

Such a fine post!

Thanks so much Zippy. I truly appreciate it sir.

looks great Robert, if the pork is all gone i'll just take a plate of those garlic buns!

Thank you Jim. We've developed quite a liking for those ciabatta buns lightly toasted and slathered with a hefty dose of garlic butter. Pretty tasty stuff!!

Looks great Robert. You are on a gravy roll!! To me gravy is like bacon, you can never have too much.

Gravy on a roll? You got that right :emoji_wink: Agree 100% about the correlation between bacon and gravy. Thank you for the kind words my friend.

Big LIKE!

Thank you Derek. Very much appreciate the accolades. You still using the griddle you got not too long ago?

To me, Italian cooking is all about simplicity and using what is on hand to create a basic but wonderful meal that highlights the quality of ingredients you used

As stated, I'm not an expert but this sounds like a great analogy. There weren't a lot of ingredients used in this meal, but you know I've taken a minimalist approach to things over the past year or so and am really enjoying the cooking part more but still loving the food. All meals do not need to be crazy, just good.

Red Sauces like the iconic, Grandma's Sunday Gravy, made with Olive Oil and Tomatoes, is the norm in the hot Southern portion of Italy.
What you got there Robert is some fine Northern Italian Cuisine!...JJ

Wow...cannot tell you how much I appreciate the insight, but we can always count on becoming better educated from the experience you share. I know I've learned a ton of stuff from you!! Thank you again Jimmy. At least I know what I made, which helps. Tracy has been to Italy and is making plans for us to go real soon. I wanna go to Belgium also and sample some real beer!! Italian food would be a huge treat but I gotta get some of that brew if I'm going to be that close.

Looks great Robert! My wife is Italian, and her family always called Tomato sauce, "Gravy." Growing up my family called tomato sauce, "Sauce", "Tomato sauce" etc. Yours looks very light too, another winner for sure.

Well Mike, sounds like we both grew up with the same perception. Hard to argue with an Italian wife though when it comes to their cooking styles and nomenclature. Thank you for the kind words sir!!

You had me at gravy. Italian was just showing off.

I think the "had me at gravy" is a pretty common theme here. As far as showing off, nah. Even a blind dog finds a bone once in a while :emoji_wink:

tx smoker tx smoker Robert - as far as the Blackstone, not as much as I’d like.

I think this meal would be a good one though to try. Love the idea and the garlic bread too. Just bought some sirloin, so maybe I’ll replace the pork with that. Well done sir!
