I am not saying it is the best but my wife and I have had a Yoder YS640 for 4 1/2 years and have been very happy with it. Have never cooked on another pellet grill so I can't compare.
Compare the following with other pellet grills you are considering...
- Cook chamber is 10 gauge steel, weighs over 300 pounds and is built like a tank!
- Can adjust temp from 150º to 600º plus.
- With 2nd shelf there is 1070 square inches of grate space.
- Warranty is 3 years control systems and 10 years on the grill body.
- Made in the U.S.A.
There is no comparison in my book. I looked at just about every pellet smoker out there and between the points MossyMo said and their fantastic customer service you can't go wrong with a Yoder. I have had my YS640 for over two years now and I know that I made the right choice.
A friend who has a MAK 2 star general sent me a link to this article which I felt did a great job as a place to start your focus and helped narrow down the field for me. After a month or so of research I recently pulled the trigger on the Yoder 640. I'm anxiously awaiting its arrival.
Hope this article is helpful in starting your research, there is a bunch of information out there about the question you asked.
