Good evening,

I have a 1/4 inch 24”x24” square firebox I am building. I made a mistake of welding the inside only. Will I need anything up if I weld the outside too?

Sorry to have not seen your question sooner. My answer may be too late to help you, but if you're asking if there's anything wrong with welding all the those corner joints on both inside and outside, I say no. In fact, I recommend it. It helps if you prep your joints ahead of time to allow a "V" corner on the outside of the joints - this allows for much better weld penetration, and makes an easier and prettier weld bead. With a "V" corner, those outside corner welds basically become fillet welds.
