I just read Basic Pulled Pork Smoke Thread. I am brand spankin' new to smoking. In fact I just bought my smoker yesterday. Its an offset smoker. I understand the process of smoking the only thing im having a hard time finding out is: How to start a fire with charcoal and then use Hickory wood chunks as my fuel? How many hickory wood chunks to add during cooking and how often? Can yall please give me a detailed walk through of how to smoke a 6lb boston butt?
