Hi guys,

Just bought myself a cheap offset smoker (I know - should have researched a bit more) and looking forward to spending my weekends sat in front of it with a cooler full of bud lights. Live just outside London in the U.K. Weather looks like summer is on its way!

Thanks

Hi Darce, Welcome to our "Family" and "Addiction"

Plenty of good folk on here, ask any questions you can think of, and you will get your answers.

Please take time to look at the UK Smokers Group,

And introduce your self on the UK Roll Call
http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/229926/roll-call

The UK Smokers Group Is where UK members can ask and share information that is unique to smoking and curing in the UK and does not obviously fit into any of the main forum categories.

We are getting close to our annual UK Smokes weekend, where members attend and cooked over the weekend. The dates are 21st - 23rd July 2017. Please use the link below to view the website.

Hi Darce and welcome to the forum. There are a growing number of us here from the UK and Steve has given you details of the weekend event in July.

You mentioned that you were outside London - which part? I am in Kent. It is great to see someone else who is helping to address the North South imbalance

What smoker did you buy? If you can please upload a photo. Every smoker has its own little quirks and one you have mastered those you will be preparing some lovely BBQ on yours.

Don't forget that although there are "wrong" ways to BBQ, there is no one "right" way. When you want to try something new just start a thread on here and you will get responses from a number of experienced BBQ Smokers from all over the world. You can then decide which method (or combination of methods) best suits what you are trying to achieve.
