I am looking at fridges to convert to a smoker. I found someone who has about 15 vintage ones that I am going to look at. Are there any specific features that would make on better than the others that I should be looking for?
just make sure its all metal inside which it would be in those years. then make some racks and get your heat source and its about ready for some smoking. I had an element from a little smoky or something like that and just installed a PID controller to regulate the heat. smoked my first apricot glazed ham in it tonight with the new pid installed.
