Hello All:

My name is Richard, & I’m a retired Meat Man. I owned a meat packing plant in Southern Calif. for many years and now I’m enjoying the good life (but really hate paying the retail prices for meat!).

I have GOSM and love to smoke Trout, Wild Turkey, & bacon wrapped Elk. I certainly enjoy reading the many different recipes here & plan on sampling more than a few. As a matter of fact, I have a small roast in the smoker as I’m sitting here typing.

I would like to thank all of you for you generous help (been lurking for a while!)

Well, I’m sure I’ll be posting questions to the masters, and they won’t be long in coming!!

Thanks again,

Richard

Welcome to SMF...I am a beginner smoker, actually on Sunday (12-13-09) I smoked my first piece of meat (3.8 lbs pork shoulder) and I learned so much from people in here. It is an awesome place to get some good, solid, reliable advice. And we LOVE to see pics. Hope you enjoy this forum as much as I have.

Wow, great reception here.

We just enjoyed a delicious smoked Pk Butt last night, and I know it wouldn't have turned out nearly as well as it did without some of the terrific receipes I've found on this site.

Thank you,

Richard
