Just joined the forum and it seems the thing to do here is introduce yourself. I'm Victor, from just outside Detroit, I've been smoking for about a year now but always with family friends using their vertical smoker. I recently got a new Char-Griller 5050 Duo with the side Fire box. I've only used the gas grill portion of it to date but I'm planning on taking the smoker out for spin over Memorial Day weekend with a big hunk of pork butt. Already found tons of great advice on rubs and charcoal on the forums and looking forward to learning more and hopefully contributing in the future.
My main meat interests are basically anything pork or sausage related and I subscribe to both the dry rub & smoke and the sauce schools of deliciousness.
