Turned out great! Really loving the functionality of the recteq. Big shoutout to civilsmoker who I have been bugging all day about doing this.

Pork rubbed and in the fridge yesterday:

Going onto the smoker this morning:

Pulled to wrap it at 165:

Took it off and wrapped in towels and into a cooler for an hour. I did this at 195 because of a timing issue, I’d probably take it a little higher next time:

Looks great, pulled pork is about my favorite, bought a 5 finger shredder for my drill, makes life easier lol. I use a thin stainless stock pot and drop them in 1 at a time, makes building sandwiches easier when you have a lot to do,

Man I’d have that great looking pulled pork piled high on a bun with some crunchy slaw and a dash of sauce!

Winner winner pulled pork dinner.

Point for sure

Thanks all, really appreciate it. I am very critical of my own cooking, even if I’m told I shouldn’t be. 😊

Looks excellent!
Did you use a finishing sauce?
If not you may want to try that next time, it takes the PP up a notch!

I’m not sure what this is. We put bbq sauce on it, but I let the individuals do that. I like a more spicy flavor, my wife a more mustard type, and everyone else opts for sweet baby rays lol.

If you look at the post I PM’d you the braising liquid I used in the foil pan to enhance the PP when pulled is what Al is referring to. IE is a flavored sauce you add to it when it’s pulled.
