Hey everybody,
I am seth, from shawano, wisconsin. I am 30 years old and have grilling on my own since my teens and have always wanted to smoke. never bought a smoker even though i wanted one, than on friday my buddy asked if i wanted his charbroil because he bought a brand new really nice one, I took it, and thought, hell, i might as well smoke something right away. I thought i would try a whole chicken, used the slaughter house brine, and than Juanita's dry rub recipe for the rub, smoked it for 3 1/2 hours at about 250 i think, and it TURNED OUT AWESOME.
I got alot of my information on how to do it right on this forum. Was searching the different threads and found alot of great info that really helped me complete my first smoke. So thank you all for the good advice, tips, and tricks on how to make some great food for me and my family. My parents, wife, sister and brother in law thought it was awesome. so thanks again. wish i had a pic to put on here.
