So, Costco had these boneless beef short ribs. They just looked to good to pass up. I decided to try burnt ends. I used a simple Texas style rub of salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Threw them on the smoker at 220 until IT reached 150. (I was impatient) I put them in an aluminum pan with beef broth, and covered with foil. Brought them up to about 198, and let them rest for about 30 minutes. Drained of 90 percent of the broth, cubed them up, and covered in sauce. Placed them under the broiler stirring often until desired char was achieved. Served with steamed broccoli. WOW! I think I have finally discovered a new hack for burnt ends....

Double like! Yum. Love the taste of rib meat, burnt ends would be killer.

If that third pic was beer & not wine would have been a triple. :emoji_wink:

Those look absolutely yummy! I'd forgotten about their boneless beef short ribs. We've got a Costco run planned for next week. Guess what just went on the shopping list.

I just realized this is a March 2020 post. John, thanks for resurrecting it!
