Picked some up at the commissary at lunch today.
Will cook one in the oven, one on the grill.

Me too!Never heard of a tenderloin butt but for that price I'd figure it out.
It's 2 in one packageSupposed to be just the thickets end of the tenderloin. Those look whole to me. Either way I’d back up a tech at that price! Tenderloin is a cut that matters less on grade really. Select is likely still fork tender.
Love that sauce!! I have one trimmed up in the freezer for that.Make it into a Chateaubriand with a Green Peppercorn sauce. That would be my thought. MMMM
Cracker jacks deputized me as junior detective back in 1984Ah makes sense
It’s kind of like my first post ever on this site when I thought I had an 18 lbs pork butt that was actually a twin pack.Cracker jacks deputized me as junior detective back in 1984
Yep, the end that most people prefer. I've never really heard what they do with the rest of the tenderloin...It's just the thick end of a whole tenderloin...
Yes sir. The tenderloin is the least used muscle in any animal that has them...Tenderloin is a cut that matters less on grade really.
At that price, I definitely would grab some more. If they're all 2 packs, split and vacuum seal individually, then freeze...I think I will grab at least 4 more tomorrow and freeze.
