Thanks guys.
Al,
Does your Guru work pretty well? Yes it will keep the temp + or - 2 degrees for as long as you have fuel, and you are right it is awesome for an all nighter. I don't have much of a problem keeping the
WSM around 225, but it would be nice to set it and forget it for some all-nighters. Can you get yours to run real high or low? I have set it from 200 to 350. I also noticed that you have an A-MAZ-N Pellet smoker. Do you just run that in your
WSM when you use it? No. I was thinking about getting into some bacon and jerky, and would like to keep some pretty low temps. I cold smoke my bacon in my Smoke Vault & for sausage I use my MES. I think you probably could use the
WSM and build a very small fire with only 2 or 3 briquettes burning at a time minnion style with the guru set to 120-150 degrees & it would probably work. I just never tried it.
Thanks
