now thats a brisket!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    got a party this weekend so gonna make a brisket   ( among other things)

    went t oreastaurant depot and got a nice brisket   $1.99 lb!!!

    this is the beginning of the wonderful weekend    gonna be some good food  and lots of variety of briskey!!!

    I was getting ready to ask why you started prep so early then I realized that it was wed night. WOW the week is almost gone. Looks like you got a good start on the weekend. Nice looking chunk-o-brisket.

    looks good Rick. You should use that brisket and make something for the Throwdown this month.

    allright, shes been soaking for two days and its time to fire up the gosm    gonna be an all nighter   going in at 9:00 pm and hopefully will be ready around three tomorrow   got some cousins comming in town from ohio so its gotta be good   

    225 is target temp for the night

    about 85 degrees outside

    nice pecan wood chunks for the smoke

    How did you like the Stubs beef Marinade? I picked up a bottle to try as well and have not had a chance to use it yet.

    made it through the night and it was finally ast 190 about three on saturday

    come on down danderson got some extra, not much though had about ten people here still hurtin from the bourbon

    branster the stubbs is a good marinade, has a nice meaty flavor but a little salty
     
  17. miamirick - bbq and bourbon that is the ticket.  Being born and raised in the great Commonwealth of Kentucky I am a bit biased.  Which bourbon do you prefer?  Damn fine looking Q plus a bourbon drinker.  Sounds like a good ol boy to me[​IMG]
