Melted my ET-733 Transmitter. I need options please!

Well I put it too close to the heat and the plastic melted.  It still mostly works (LCD on the transmitter does not work) but I do not think I can change the batteries.  So, I am looking to replace it.

I contacted Maverick - No response.

Questions.  

 1) Will a ET-732 transmitter work with an ET-733 receiver?

 2) Does anyone know if you can buy just a transmitter?
