Was taking my butt off the grill and poked a hole in the foil and lost all my juice! [IMG] Now what?? I'm going to let it sit for a while. I hope its not too dry now. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I wonder if a low temperature simmer in au jus might help just in case it is dry?

Sounds like the smoke Gods are angry... maybe because you're smokin' at work and we're not...?! [IMG][IMG]

Well the smoke gods must not have been too upset with me. HA It turned out great, not dry at all. I let it rest for about an hour before I pulled it. Things didnt go real smooth but still turned out pretty darn good. 6.5lb butt and its alread gone!

Of course it was worth it! Everyone keeps talking about how great it was and when can we do it again, lots of [IMG] I keep trying to tell them its about the easiest thing to do just rub it and put it in the smoker. Its really hard to believe just how easy it is to do a butt for pulled pork. I had never did one until July 4th, just seemed like too big a task. Sure am glad I gave it a try. Thinks got a little crazy, ran out of propane once, the hose conection broke, poked a hole in the foil and on top of all that I really was busy with work. One of our plants broke down so I was scrambling trucks all over the city to try to cover things. On the bright side I did learn that things can still turn out good even if they dont go real smooth.

The only time its boring here is if its pouring down rain! Makes the day go by pretty fast though, I've been here since 1:00 and still feel pretty good. I just think of it as practice for a few all night smokes![IMG]
