lake trout, pork butt & babybacks

    Hi all. Haven't been on in a while. Went on a fishing charter out of Saugatuck Fri. Cought some nice Lakers! Smoked them up yesterday. I have a great brine if anyone is interested. And I decided to keep it going today. Got a pork butt & some babybacks in now. Doing the 2-2-1 on the ribs. Using a mix of vanilla coke/apple juice foil juice and a maple glaze on the ribs. Kitchen is a mess but, I'm eating good!!

    ribs turned out good texture wise but still tweeking my rub. A little bland. But still good. The vanilla coke was a good additive.

    Looks good Roc,
    I did a charter with my grand father and uncles last summer off of Port Austin in the tip of the thumb and lakers were what we caught too! Luckily I had my smoker at the cottage because that fish never made it home!

    Those ribs look pretty good too. Nice and meaty.
