Different concept in smoker design, though I have seen a few units with the fire box mounted on the backside. I was wondering about the size of the opening between the fire box and the food chamber but from your pics it looks like the stacks draw smoke fairly well. Good job!

Looking forward to the first q-view that comes off that thing. You going to give it a name?

Heathrow, he probably built the stacks tall so the smoke don't get in his eyes!!

Great work & nice looking set up! I think I saw a little jealousy from the barrel in the background though

I like the tall stacks,

tall stacks = better draw, normally. Besides, it reminds me of all the cold mornings when I started my Kenworth and let her warm up.

i actually talked to some one who built this design first i asked him "how tall to make the stacks?.. he told me as tall as i can and still reach to open and close them so that is that tall!!!"

nice! .. i wish i had the skill to make something like that ...

now if it was a computer or a car i could rebuild it and repair it .. but when it comes to welding ... well .. as my shop teacher in high school told me .. 'some things just ain't ment to be' (after i welded my project to the work table)

LOL!! My first welding lesson, I was wearing an old denim jacket. Unknown to me, some red hot metal jumped into my pocket... I smelled an unfamiliar smoke, looked down and found myself to be ablaze. The entire class and the teacher got extreme mileage out of that one...

haha! .. yeah that class or teacher never let me forget it ... from them glueing stuff to my place on the table ... to nailing some wood together and then askin me to go get it .. =P
