Hello all. I am from Tulsa, Oklahoma, new to smoking I just got a Char-broil vertical electric smoker. I have been visiting the site about a month, it helped with smoking my first whole chicken today. Thank you and look forward to more good reading!

Welcome to the board! If you've already looked around, dive in!

Edited to add, I'm from a different OSU.

Welcome from SC. It's really good to have you on this great site. The builder of my smoker, Craig Bell @ Bell Fabrication, is located in Owassa, just above Tulsa.

Thanks everyone. Look forward to learning a lot from the site. The chicken turned out great. Used Pecan wood and jutsted used butter, salt and pepper under the skin. Smoked at 250 till 165 IT. It was a 3.5lb bird.

I did just butter s and p to see how the smoker worked and what kind of smoke flavor it gave off.
