smoked my first pork shoulder on my GOSM for the fourth and it went good. rubbed it down the night before, got up a little later than planned but had it on a little before 8. spritzed it with applejuice and rum mix every 1.5 hours or so, wrapped it at 165 and pulled it at 205. let it rest then for about 40 minutes in a towel and cooler. it was my first pulled pork attempt so i was pretty psyched when the bone came out with the slightest pull and the meat just tore apart with little effort. got it all pulled and mixed it with SoFlaQue's finishing sauce and pulled the batch of Dutch's "wicked baked beans" from the smoker. 15-20 minutes later everybody was engorging themselves on a great meal. thanks to SoFlaQue and Dutch for their recipes(everyone LOVED the beans) and to everyone else here at SMF for all the help in past threads, wouldn't have been as good a 4th without it. here's the Qview the Qviews will get better i forget to take more pics as i am going because i'm so worried about doing everything right and trying not to forget things.
