First tri tip

    Reverse seared my first tri tip today. It came out a little more done than I wanted. I got a little distracted by the badger game and allowed the internal temp to go higher than i wanted. Was aiming for medium rare but ended up at medium. Over all it was pretty tasty and we'll be trying them again.

    Yea, I got distracted by the Badger game also.  You all where beating us so bad I got tired/frustrated and went to bed after the delay of game penalty to start the 2nd half and  the Wisconsin TD .  I believe my going to bed was the signal to the Tigers to play like they wanted to win the ball game.

    It gets replayed on ESPNU at 1pm this afternoon,  guess I'll watch the second half.

    That late in the evening I put everything into the oven so I can keep an eye on it better.

    Thank you for the feedback. The badgers gave up in the second half sadly. Our lack of a passing game was highlighted last night.
  5. First tri tip smoked. Soy/grated ginger marinade 1 hr, 225-250 2 hrs. Mine was a little overdone but very edible. I took mine out @ 145
