Brought home a new to me Masterbuilt 30"er a week or so ago and have already smoked my first Boston butt (with excellent results I might add!). After looking up a number of recipes over a vast amount of sites out there it finally dawned on me that there just had to be a forum out there somewhere with other folks who like/love to smoke various types of foods.
Thus, here I am! My wife and I currently live a few miles outside of Baton Rouge in a little place that rarely shows up on road maps. Originally from Colorado and plan on moving back, perhaps next year. Retired out of the Navy after 26 years about 4 1/2 years ago and enjoying life to the fullest. Currently work at the Cabela's in Gonzales, LA while the wife spends her time here when she isn't visiting the grandchildren in MO or her folks in TX.
Hoping to learn many great recipes and smoking techniques and perhaps make a few friends along the way. Now, off to reading, learning and reading more!
