Saw this today. I must admit, despite my complete love for my mini, a small WSM would be pretty cool. Wonder what the price will be.

if so looks like they want to get in the mini market. I'd find a 15 gallon drum and make one vs buying that though. I'm building a 30 gallon next soon as I secure a barrel.

Rumor is $199

And there are other "coincidences" in the 18.5" and 22.5" pricing and model numbers.

14.5" WSM

Model number 711001   

Price $199 (logical theory of price based on overall pattern)

Street price would likely end up in the $149 range.

18.5" WSM

Model number 721001

Price $299

22.5" WSM

Model number 731001

Price $399

See a pattern in this (assuming the 14.5" info posted so far is correct)?  Looks like it has been on the minds of those that matter at Weber for quite some time.  Model numbers for the 18.5" & 22.5" were set in 2009 and they left a slot for a 14.5" to fit in to the overall WSM family just perfectly.

They made a 14.5" model 30 years ago, the 1880, so it's noting new, but maybe a bit updated.

The 2014 Weber mini WSM doesn’t have an official model name, although we’re told it will NOT be an 1880.
It will have a few upgrades as well. The new mini smoker will have an ash pan (which is actually a heat shield) that clips onto the legs like the 18″ and 22″ WSMs have. It will sport a temp gauge in the lid. It will also have two small holes in the lid for temp probes! These two holes will also make their way to the 18″ and 22″ WSMs in 2014

Just ordered me one of the new WSM 14.5 inchers (711001) no more than 5 minutes ago.....$199.95...free shipping...no sales tax outside PA.
Can't wait to fire it up!!!!!
