Fire up that jumbo Joe .
Funny you should mention the JJ.
Hauled it downstairs to the grilling area this afternoon. First did two hobo meal* of red potatoes with garlic, rosemary, and red pepper flakes for seasoning. Moved to a gas grill to keep warm.
Red potatoes are fresh spring crop in Florida
Then on went a nice ribeye I found in the freezer and cooked to my wife's perfection (hint of pink).

* Hobo meals are diced taters, onion, carrots, and meat in a foil pouch and cooked either directly on campfire coals or on the grate in a charcoal grill. A Scouting core meal. I cooked the meat separately so it was just taters. We had a side salad so omitted the onions and carrots.

I was thinking about trying it on the gas grill. Gas is free (well included in the rent) and I can control the heat. Busy for the next 3 days and by then it will cool off enough to bake a yeast dough in the apartment.

I haven't done a full up SD boule as Mike in many months. Wife has hinted on a jalapeno cheddar boule. I was thinking to add bacon in the mix.
