Hey all, not šŸ’Æ sure what I have going on… but I think there is a possibility of it being RA. I have been to countless docs to find out nothing other than the bill beats me home.

I am anymore trying to find more natural solutions.

Nic and I don’t watch a lot of TV, but anymore it seems every other commercial is pushing some miracle drug who’s side effects are worse than what your dealing with in the first place!

Not saying this will work, but I’ve had more than a few folks mention this without me saying anything. So figured it was time to try!

From my understanding, it has to be golden raisins and some quality gin that was distilled with juniper berries.

Soak the golden raisins in the gin for a few weeks… eat 9ish a day and supposed to help with the arthritis pain.

Will report back in a while, but if any of you all have experience or want to contribute… please do so.

I don’t have arthritis, but my body aches after a long day of work. What helps me is a nice tall shot glass of the ā€œArkansas Push Waterā€ also known as moonshine! Pushes me right thru the night and then some!

On a serious note, all natural is the route I would go. My wife makes tinctures…basically plant medicine using alcohol. It works for sure.

Will be watching.
Arthritis in my hands terribly bad. Hard to golf or tie fishing hooks. Doc told me to stay off Nsaid's . Advil or Aleve usually worked for the inflammation but didn't like what he was seeing in my annual test results.

Haven't heard the golden raisin treatment.
Usually the first thing they tell you is to limit alcohol consumption.
You also cut back on the added sugars which is another source of inflammation.

I don't have RA but cursed with osteoarthritis
I take fish oil and glucosamine chondroitin twice a day.
People with RA usually go for glucosamine with MSN.
I have friends that take Omega XL and tell me it does wonders. I might try a bottle or 2 in place of fish oil to see what happens.

Do you drink diet soda pop? The Aspartame really inflamed the joints in my hands. Cut out ALL soda pop (the sugars in regular isn't good for you either) almost 15 years ago and it really helped. I haven't taken any NSAID in about the same time frame. Fish oil and the glucosamine appears to have kept it in check from getting any worse.
Cannot win as now I have developed Dupuytren's in both hands. Stage 2 in left and stage 1 in right. I'm hoping it stays that way

Do not drink "any" soda for numerous yrs. Crown and water if have an occasional drink.
I have been doing fish oil for 10+ yrs.
Haven't looked into whether beer affects it anyhow.

Let us know what you find out Justin... if it helps. And @yankee2bbq if you're wife would share some of her knowledge it would be greatly appreciated!
I've been wondering about the omegaxl, if it worked or just another gimmick.

I know I'm going to get a ton of criticism and push back on this but, years ago my barber suggested this to me and I've been doing it for flare-ups and viola!! it works for me. I rub WD40 on my joints sounds like voodoo but it works

Sure will. I’ll get back to you.

Simple lab tests will tell if you have RA. RA typically hits men between 45-60 years of age.

You’d sure think so… but at this point I have zero trust in Doctors. Seems years ago most got into the field to help people… anymore just feel as I am number and as said above… the bill beats you home. Money, money, money is what most care about. Not very trusting these days of much… be it medical or other…

Can I get a barrel of it? Just take a dip a day!
Justin, not sure if it will do you any good but I started doing acupuncture with my new chiropractor... not sure if it's her or the acupuncture, but it seems to be helping!

I would try glucosamine and chondroitin. Its readily available online and Costco and such. I have heard from folks with arthritis that it helps. Not 100% sure if that RA or regular arthritis or what the difference is.

So far I only have arthritis in the joints I have broken and its not bad so I dont do anything about it.

Boron....that is what is in raisins that is suppose to help with arthritis. Here are some facts for you. The drinking water in Israel is naturally high in Boron. The average person living there takes in between 15-30mg of boron daily just from consuming the RDA of water. Now here's the data-there is no instance of osteoporosis or arthritis in the indigenous population of Israel. Now Contrast that to Jamaica where the island is practically devoid of boron and there is a 78% instance rate of both combined. There are 80+ year old men and women walking around in Israel- fully upright, no slouching. Bone densities look like 20 year olds.......on a Dexa Scan....

Rheum problems are always hard to diagnose. Some have lab tests that help, some don't. Its almost never cut and dry. What's really hard is when a patient is absolutely convinced they have something when they really don't. They'll end up visiting doctor after doctor until they find someone that gives the diagnosis they've wanted all along.

My approach....if its not gonna hurt, try it. Golden raisins? Can only help. Even if it doesn't help, can't hurt.

FYI, people have used ethanol to treat pain for.....well....a long, long time... 😊

Hope you feel better.

Where it work or not sounds FANTASTIC.

+1. I am of the opinion there is pretty much a supplement or natural substance for every condition that the FDA downplays so it can make $. Taking Omega for decades. Circumin/turmeric or any other supp for inflammation is a good choice to try. Would recommend fitness bands and bone up on what exercises to do.

Study on boron and it's legit and getting some for Mom: https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.3109/13590849009003147

We all have participate and advocate for ourselves. I will get their opinions and then fact check them to make sure I fell like it jives.

I had my pcp blow off my PSA that was increasing in velocity. Told me everything is fine. Fired his *ss, went to a Urologist and he says "yes this is something to be concerned about and lets see whats the cause." Prostate cancer is the cause.

2 pcps blew off my GI issues. So I saw the gastro on my own and yeah, theres problems.

Rant over.
