It’s been a minute since I’ve had an opportunity to post on here but I could use ya’lls help. My niece has asked me to smoke the protein for her rehearsal dinner. They have requested pork tenderloin and chicken for a crowd (mostly adults) of 70. There will be the usual sides, pasta salads, Mac and cheese, beans etc.
I used to have a spread sheet that I would use to help calculate quantities however my computer died and since I’ve retired I haven’t had a need to replace it. While I’ve cooked plenty of tenderloins, never for a crowd. For the birds, I’ll probably do some whole bird and some leg quarters.
Any thoughts on the quantity of both to buy? Thanks for your help. ~ Gordon

Doing some ruff calculations, I’m thinking about 32 pounds (26 loins, 12 packs) and 5 or 6 birds? I’m thinking that the pork is going to be more popular.
