Hello everyone! I’m a Midwest housewife and mother of 3, I love to cook and bake and try new recipes. I’m new to smoking meats and I hope to learn as much as possible from the experts here. I like to keep my family and friends well fed with great food! Thank you for your hospitality and knowledge, I’m ready to learn!

Welcome from Iowa! It's a great place to learn and share! On many different topics.

I’m not sure which exact model I will have next month, but I asked my husband for an electric pellet smoker for our 20th anniversary gift. I know he’ll do his research and pick out a good model.

I'd say get a MES. Pretty easy to use and plenty of available mods to make it run betterer. Just my $0.02 worth.

Welcome from Iowa! Anxious to read your knowledge!

Welcome from Minnesota. Lots of people love to bake here also. We love new ideas and lots of pictures of what you're making. Have fun, be careful of the enablers ie most of us here🤣

Welcome to SMF from Colorado. There is a sub forum for pellet smokers, if you want to dive in. I run a Rec Teq. I think you will come to like pellet smoking. Look forward to seeing your cooks! Feel free to ask any and all questions. we all started somewhere...I know I felt like I asked stupid questions, but after years on here, they were just newbie questions. Good people here to help.

I made my husband a proper grilled cheese on the cast iron while he watches hockey and spring training. Nothing fancy but there is a right way and wrong way to make a grilled cheese, and the right way is with lots of butter.
