It can grow on you.
I like it . Few things to consider on these that would " help " , but there is not one thing wrong with that in my opinion .
What did you finish it with , mineral oil ? I have both , ( Howards ) but like the butcher block conditioner because it adds some color / darkens the boards .
For a small board. It has some heft to it.
Perfect for a " Butchers " block . Make some large wooden feet for it , or just add a larger size in the rubber . I found a good source for feet if you're interested .

Damn . I paid 16 bucks for this set . Now it's 10 !

Put it on heavy and let it soak in . Since it's an end grain board it really sucks it up .
Thanks! 10.00 for 100 is super cheap! I paid that for 40. Ordered! I'll add a few more coats. Thanks again!

I've been selling little knick knacks. Those lanterns and key holders.

Filling in those little holes is getting old! So, I pulled the trigger on a 23ga pin nailer.

Looks good Charlie . Those end grain boards look nice , but are a pain . Especially if the margins don't line up . Got another one waiting for me to sand it , and fix a bad spot .

Cutting Board Wax.
Just poured my first try at making it . So far so good . I have a melt function on my stove .
Just a trial run to see if it's worth it . Then I'll find an old crock pot at Goodwill .
Cooling down / back to a solid .

They are really nice boards Charlie! I won't attempt another end grain until I get a drum sander.
Thank you!

I have a 19/38 drum sander that makes easy work out of them... but I started out making them with a router sled and a lot of sanding before I figured out how to run them through the planer with a frame to keep them from exploding. Obviously only small boards can fit in the planer, but the big drum sander allows me to make bigger things. They're definitely an investment and the rolls of sandpaper aren't cheap either.
